Each year the EOSC selects a project to fund that will improve the quality of life on the base. Past examples of Quality of Life projects include the furnished Family Workout Room at the Bellamy Fitness Center on base.
The 2006-2007 EOSC Quality of Life funds will be spent to create Mount Ruffmore, Ellsworth AFB's very own dog park. A site near the Main Gate has been selected and approved, and efforts to begini the project will be started soon. Volunteers will be needed to help move fencing from the vacated housing area and install it around the new park.
VOLUNTEER TO HELP WITH DOG PARK
The 2007-2008 EOSC Quality of Life donation was given to Bandit Ball Little League in Box Elder. The gift is to be used for field upgrades in honor of player Levi Nelson who tragically passed away in 2007.
Ideas for ways to spend the 2008-2009 Quality of Life funds can be submitted to any OSC Board member.
